A show that promises an evolution in the Television World of Soaps & Serial

‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’, an Ekta Kapoor venture starring Sonali Bendre and Apoorv Agnihotri will mark a change in the soaps & serial world of Indian television for it explores the essence of platonic love and a genuine heterosexual friend. The show marks Sonali’s entry into fictional space on T.V while it can be viewed as a comeback for Apoorv.

The show narrates the story of Shobha (Sonali Bendre) who is happily married to her husband until he is caught in a sexual scandal and she sees him making out with another woman on TV. He gets jailed while Shobha is left to herself. As a result of this drastic turn of events, she begins her search for a job where in, she comes across her rigid and rich boss (Apoorv Agnihotri). They bond as Shobha discovers the softer and gentler side of her boss. The once-a-loner boss finds a friend in Shobha and they go on to build a healthy and strong friendship purely based on platonic love.

We look forward to this new venture on the part of director, Ekta Kapoor, since it not only offers a break from the typical Saas-bahu serials but also dares to explore a different category of love that is rarely looked upon – pure, platonic love! Watch the trailer here –
