Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood and even though she was away from Bollywood for a while now, she proved her acting prowess in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In fact, it is with this movie itself, she achieved her first Rs 100 crore film. Yes, in her 19 year old Bollywood career, she has acted in countless films with top actors and directors. Aishwarya has played some stellar parts but only in the year 2016 has she been able to achieve her first Rs 100 crore film. People have started to question her ability and her choices of films, however li’l does anyone understand why she hasn’t had a Rs 100 crore film. The whole era of Rs 100 crore films started post 2008. And now that she is back, she has delivered her first Rs 100 crore film. What’s wrong in that. In fact, there has been many actors who have delivered a Rs 100 crore film after 19 years of their career. Here are a few examples and the best part is that Aishwarya has starred in films with a few of these actors:

Salman Khan

We all know Salman Khan is one of the BIGGEST actors ever. But when you look at his track record, then you will realise that he has the highest number of Rs 100 crore films – 10. However, li’l do people know that his first Rs 100 crore film was Dabbang which released in 2010. That means Salman got his first Rs 100 crore film 21 years after he stepped into Bollywood and this way Aishwarya is ahead of him coz she achieved this in just 19 years.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is one of the most respected actors in Bollywood not only because he is a top actor, but also because each of his films make money and is profitable. In fact, Akshay is the only actor who has three to four releases every year and all of them are successful. This year he has been able to beat the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan too. However, he got his first Rs 100 crore film with Housefull 2 (2012), only after 21 years in Bollywood (Akshay had debuted in 1991).

Aamir Khan

We all know about Aamir Khan. He is that actor who just has one release in one or two years and that becomes a massive hit. If you see his last couple of films, all of them have earned crores of rupees and most of them have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. He also has the highest grossing film (P.K.) to his credit. However, if you see his track record, he too got his first Rs 100 crore film in 2008 with Ghajini, 24 years into his Bollywood career (Though he started off as an actor in 1974 itself, his first big role came only in 1984).

Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan is one of the most popular actors and his fan following is immense. He is crowd’s favourite and a legend like the other actors that I mentioned earlier. Shah Rukh Khan too started off his career in 1992 and got his first Rs 100 crore film, like Aishwarya, 19 years after his first film. Ra. One in 2011 was his first Rs 100 crore and since then he has got five more Rs 100 crore films to his credit.

Ajay Devgn

Like Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir and Akshay, Ajay Devgn has a massive and devoted fan base. He is one of the most loved action actors and has five Rs 100 crore films to his name. In fact, he also achieved his first Rs 100 crore film 19 years after he made his debut. Ajay had started off his career in 1991 and it was only in 2010 with Golmaal 3 that he got his first Rs 100 crore film. 

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena is also one of Aishwarya’s contemporaries who took a while to get her first Rs 100 crore film. However, she was the fastest to reach the Rs 100 crore club. She had made her debut in 2000 and nearly a decade later, she got her first Rs 100 crore movie with 3 Idiots. However, her late entry in Bollywood enabled her to achieve this faster, however, it was in the mid of her career that she has achieved this, but since then she has achieved it five more times.
