Vikram Phadnis: Designer turns Director for ‘NIA’
The bighead of the fashion world, Vikram Phadnis will now come out of the closet to direct his debut film, ‘NIA’.
It is his directorial debut and Bong beauty Bipasha Basu has been roped in for the film who will play a mother. Opposite her, the hunk Rana Daggubati will be seen playing her husband. The duo was last seen in the movie ‘Dum Maaro Dum’. We heard Vikram calling them ‘’ strong characters with sensitive hearts.’’
‘NIA’, produced by Three Aces Productions is essentially a story of a mother and the story would be set in Melbourne. The film was announced at a press meet, where the movie was unveiled and a panel discussion took place. On the dais were Vikram Phadnis himself with Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan and Loy Mendonsa, unfolded the idea of the whole project.
Vikram Phadnis told the media,’’ the film is all about celebrating life. We live only once and there is a purpose why we live. It is simple, straight from the heart story.’’ He further added, ‘’ I am not here to show my directorial skills but to tell a story. ‘’
Bipasha showered praises for Vikram at the press meet and complimented Vikram’s narrative skills. She added, ‘’ the story of the film moved me completely and it is an overwhelming experience to just listen to the story the way Vikram presents. ‘’
We keep our hopes high for the film and see how efficiently Vikram decks the film as he decks the beauties of Bollywood.
