Most Controversial Film Posters of Bollywood
Aamir Khan is all set to reveal yet another poster from P.K. which we believe will be no less scandalizing than the earlier one. Eversince his nude poster for the film with just a transistor saving his vanity went viral, people have been dubbing him as a genius to start on a controversial marketing note for this Rajkumar Hirani film. But he isn’t the only one who tried to gain mileage out of controversy. There are many who used the film posters to create a huge buzz in Bollywood that can be easily termed as infamous. Here are some controversial posters…
P.K.
The list had to begin with P.K. only. More than Aamir Khan, it was the transistor that gained immense popularity for hiding one of this country’s biggest actor’s assets. He plays a drunk man in the film and given the fact that people do crazy things when high, the poster seemed fine but many took offence and also the makers to court.
Jism 2
When you cast a pornstar turned actor in the lead, the expectations from the film’s content multiplies for obvious reasons. Encashing it is the smart way to begin a film’s marketing drive. They went ahead and released the first poster which had Sunny Leone in a seductive posed draped in a flimsy white drape. But the controversy reached its peak when it was revealed that the girl on the poster wasn’t Sunny after all!
Dunno Y…Na Jaaney Kyun
Being happy and gay isn’t something India has allowed yet. It is difficult for many to accept a same sex relationship. In such a scenario, the poster of Dunno Y…Na Jaaney Kyun was released and it the whole nation by storm. The intimacy shared by two males on the poster irked everyone. It didn’t help the film in any way but it sure gave the film a lot of eyeballs.
The Dirty Picture
One has to live upto the name and The Dirty Picture poster did just that. A bold Vidya Balan on the poster with three men eyeing her with various levels of desire in their eyes stirred a lot of controversies. But it surely helped the film get the people to the theatre.
Nasha
Although nobody was intoxicated to see Poonam Pandey, her salacious poster for her maiden film turned many heads. With just two placards to cover herself, Poonam surely soared temperatures but that hardly helped the film.
