FAWAD KHAN BECOMES THE FIRST PAKISTANI ACTOR TO BAG A FILMFARE AWARD

In a star studded ceremony, at the Yash Raj Studios on February 31, the Filmfare award for the best debut male was given to Khoobsurat fame Fawad Afzal Khan.

Fawad first became a household name in India with his show Zindagi Gulzaar Hai and later won hearts with an adorable performance as a Rajasthani Royal in Khoobsurat, opposite Sonam Kapoor.

With this Fawad has become the first Pakistani artist to bag a Filmfare award. No other actor from Pakistan has ever won this honour.

He posed with his wife Sadaf after the victor.

Other nominations in this category were Tahir Raj Bhasin (Mardaani), Tiger Shroff (Heropanti), Sharib Hashimi (Filmistaan) and Freddy Daruwala (Holiday).
