On-screen, Bollywood’s brothers are chivalrous, upright, protective and caring towards their sisters. At several industry functions, one gets to witness the camaraderie and love our heroes share with their sisters. Just like their morally correct on-screen avatars, Bollywood’s leading men are quite the perfect brothers, off-screen as well.

Zoya Akhtar – Farhan Akhtar

Children of legendary screenplay writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar, and Honey Irani, Zoya and Farhan Akhtar definitely fit well to be named as one of the most desirable pairs of siblings in Bollywood. After the divorce of their parents, both sibling took support from each other and moved on, looking at the brighter side of their own lives. While Farhan directed his first, yet National award winning movie Dil Chahta Hai in 2001, Zoya made her directorial debut with the critically acclaimed flick in the year 2009, which starred Farhan as the lead protagonist. With this, everyone in B-Town became very much aware about the sparks that this brother-sister duo could create. Just recently in 2011, Farhan and Zoya worked together yet again, and brought out a mega blockbuster movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, which not only received worldwide recognition, but also got Zoya to win her first Filmfare Award for being the Best Director. Both siblings have proven to be lucky for each other.

Sonam Kapoor – Arjun Kapoor

 Sonam Kapoor made her debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya in 2007 while his cousin came into the world of limelight with YRF’s Ishaqzaade in 2012. These star kids of actor Anil Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor respectively are making a lot of noise with their immense fan following. She is not only a known fashionista but also a possessive sister, reveals nation’s heartthrob Arjun. This supremely talented sister brother duo are all in the news for either their movies, respective love lives or public appearances. Arjun even confessed to Sonam being possessive about him. “I have to take Sonam’s aashirwad before I settle with any girlfriend or even befriend a girl!” he had said in an interview. How sweet! Isn’t it folks? 

Emraan Hashmi – Alia Bhatt

He is an incorrigible rake and she is an innocent wide-eyed girl. Together Emraan Hashmi and Alia Bhatt make an unusual pair, but it is unlikely that the two will be paired opposite each other. While Alia is Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter, Emraan is his nephew. There were reports of the duo being cast in the remake of Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi but that idea seems to be jinxed.

Kareena Kapoor – Ranbir Kapoor

These cousins of the superstar Kapoor khaandan, definitely know how to make their presence felt. The only time they came together on screen was in Koffee With Karan. The episode was a riot with Kareena mercilessly teasing Ranbir and spilling the beans on his affair with Katrina. We would love to see the duo light up the screen with their cute bhai-behen chemistry.

Huma Qureshi – Saqib Saleem

This pair of siblings is gradually making its presence felt in the industry. While Huma earned rave reviews with her very first film Gangs Of Wasseypur, Saqib came into the limelight with the youthful Mujhse Fraandship Karoge. Huma is proud of her brother, who she thinks ‘can do any scene effortlessly’. While she is protective about him, the doting brother looks up to her. It will be interesting to see this pair caring and bickering on screen.

Soha Ali Khan – Saif Ali Khan

He is the Nawab Khan while his younger sister is the little princess. Saif has always been one of the A list stars but the same could not be said of his sister though she is quite notable for uncanny roles in her short career. He is known for being suave and style comes to him naturally while his sister is equally classy in her taste.
