“The Lunchbox” Gets Nominated For BAFTA Awards
Ritesh Batra’s “The Lunchbox” has received a nomination for the British Academy Film Awards 2015, in London.
Batra, first took to Twitter to share his excitement by posting, ““Love & congrats to the whole team, and thanks @BAFTA for the nomination. So honoured to be nominated alongside my favourite films of the year.”
In a press conference later on, he said, “It’s an honour to be nominated alongside the finest films of the year, much credit to my whole team and the work we did together. It’s a good validation to tell Indian stories to the world, if we don’t tell our own stories, no one else will.”
The film, a unique love story between a man and a woman through letters in a lunchbox will compete against Russian, Polish, Belgian, and a Brazilian-British movies.
