Sania Mirza’s Ticket to Bollywood
From her short skirt controversies to her wedding to the Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik, Tennis Ace, Sania Mirza has always been in the limelight. Controversies have been a part of her career and she has been handling them maturely.
She has been in the news for good reasons and not so good reasons. Recently called the ‘daughter-in-law’ of Pakistan, by a minister, Sania Mirza has been attending the Page 3 parties, Bollywood Events and launching various brands.
She is living a new phase in her career when her personality as a sports person is under transmission to a glamorous celebrity. Always very guarded about her personal life, Sania has been lately seen coming out of the cocoon. Currently residing for a long time in India, Sania wants to make her career and amidst this she finds time to spend some quality moments with hubby Shoaib Malik.
Sania is all set to explore her talents on the small screen. She is to play the role of a Bond Girl in Sony Pix’s new series ‘PixSchool of BONDing’. A role, she truly justifies looking at the promos and pictures. The show has gained much attention and Sania comes to help the Indian boys in search for their partners.
She will be seen in an avatar of a ‘sexy teacher’ of the Bond School who will give the guys some tips on wooing a lady into love. Her super stylish pictures went viral the moment she posted on Twitter.
She also walked the ramp in a stunning Orange dress, at Payless ShoeSource Store Launch in Mumbai. After such appearances it is reasonable to speculate about her Bollywood entry. Will she or ever shine on the silver screen???
However in all her interviews she has been denying any such possibilities. Even though she will do a small screen show, she will never accept a Bollywood Movie offer. She was asked about her thoughts on a biopic made on her; she initially denied that a biopic featuring her was not necessary. However if the movie is made, she would never act in it. She would love to see Deepika Padukone playing her character in the movie.
She has been rejecting film offers from various directors. But we cannot trust the stars since they change their hearts too frequently. There might be a day we will see her as an actress and not a tennis player.
As of now there is no buzz about Sania making her way to the B-world. She is working on her autobiography ‘Against All Odds’ which is yet to be completed. We will soon see her back on the court waving her racket at the IPTL (International Premier Tennis League). She will be playing as a member of Micromax Indian Aces with stars like Roger Federer and Ana Ivanovic. The series starts on November 28.
