A recent trend that sprung up where movie promotions are concerned, TV and the daily soaps have been an inviting platform for the B-Town celebs and their upcoming movies.
Promoting a film on a particular show is always a good idea since TV shows roll on daily basis and are popular in every household. Also by the reality shows like ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, this trend gained impetus to a greater extent. Every week, team of a particular film come to the show to promote the next week’s release. Kapil’s set has seen range of B-Town celebs visiting the show gladly.

After the reality shows, what crept in were the Bollywood stars visiting the sets of daily soap operas. The show itself incorporates the idea of the celebrity’s upcoming film in their script and eventually in the regularly aired episode.

We clearly witness, movie promotions have become extremely important as the stars wish to grab maximum eyeballs for their upcoming movie. Sony’s ‘CID’ too is not behind in the race of promotions where movies like ‘Ek Villain’ were promoted. ‘Ek Villain’ also made its presence felt on Zee TV’s popular show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ at the time of protagonists Shabbir Alhuwalia (Abhi) and Sriti Jha’s (Pragya) wedding sequence.
