Aamir Khan wore used clothes for ‘PK’
The film ‘PK’ has been grabbing everyone’s attention. From the poster releases, to the motion poster release and of course the trailer, everything was in the news especially social media and movie fanatics; each wanting to write about their thoughts and expectations from the film.
Character building is of utmost important to our Bollywood directors but would you think these two (director,Rajkumar Hirani and actor,Aamir Khan) would ever make a mistake in that department? We wonder…
Voila! They decided the character of ‘PK’ should be seen wearing old and worn out clothes. So guess what, the clothes worn by Aamir Khan were actually sourced from different places. They were picked up clothes from random people who passed by on the streets of the various locations they were shooting at.
Eg: since Rajasthan was one of their locations, the makers wanted him to don clothes that spoke about the place-the authentic prints. So the respected department went to the streets requesting men to give away their worn out shirts and in return, they gave them money to purchase new ones.
It didn’t come as a surprise that people were readily willing to lend their clothes to the team. After all, it’s Aamir Khan who would be wearing them. When the variety of clothes was displayed in front of Raj Kumar Hirani and Aamir Khan, they were amazed to see the variety and the quirkiness of the shirts.
This has definitely ignited the inquisitiveness within me and I am definitely looking forward to this movie. What’s your take on this guys? Do comment below…
